Master of Public Administration (Batch III)

The Faculty of Graduate Studies, University of Jaffna invites applications from eligible candidates for the following Postgraduate Programme:
Master of Public Administration (Batch III)


Admission Requirements:
A candidate seeking admission to the Master of Public Administration programme should possess any one or more of the following qualifications and should demonstrate a high level of English language proficiency:
a. A Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University / Institution in Public Administration;
OR
b. Any other special degree in Social Sciences;
OR
c. Any other special degree in any discipline or general degree with prior learning / working experience in relevant field;
OR
d. Professional qualification in Public Administration from a recognized professional body with acceptable to the Faculty Board of the Faculty of Graduate Studies and the Senate of University of Jaffna with prior learning / work experience in Public Administration;
AND
e. Good knowledge of the English and Tamil language and satisfactory performance at a selection interview.
Course Fee: Rs.185, 000/- (5000/- Library fee- Refundable)
Medium: English/Tamil
Duration: One year (On Weekends)
Selection: Selection Examination & interview

Closing date for Application: 31 January, 2023.
The course fee can be paid in full or in two installments

At registration, beginning of first semester 95,000.00 Beginning of second semester 90,000.00


Applications Procedure:
Relevant information and prescribed application forms could be obtained from the Assistant Registrar, Faculty of Graduate Studies, University of Jaffna (T.P. : 021 222 3608) either in person or post, on a payment of Rs. 1000/- per application form on production of receipt in support of the payment to the University Account number (reference number) 190032730002717 at the People’s Bank.
Those who wish to obtain application forms by post are requested to send a money order for Rs. 1000/- per application form drawn in favour of the Bursar, University of Jaffna together with a self addressed stamped envelope 22.5 x 10 c.m. (9” x 4”) in size.Those who wish to send the downloaded application form which is obtained from the websites of www.jfn.ac.lk and www.grad.jfn.ac.lk should attach a money order for Rs. 1000/- drawn in favor of the Bursar, University of Jaffna or the receipt in support of the payment to the University Account number (reference number) 190032730002717 at the People’s Bank. Duly completed applications should be sent to the

by registered post or by hand on or before the closing date of application. This programme applied for should be indicated as “Application for Master of Public Administration – 2023” on the top left hand corner of the envelop. Incomplete, Illegible or late applications will not be considered.
