First International Research Conference in Education (IRCE-2024)

The First International Research Conference in Education – 2024 ( IRCE – 2024) jointly hosted by the Faculty of Graduate Studies and the Department of Education, Faculty of Arts, University of Jaffna was held on April 20th and 21st of April 2024. The conference was chaired by Vice Chancellor of the University Prof. Sivakolunthu Srisatkunarajah and as co-chairs, Prof.S.Kannathasan the Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Prof.S.Raguram, Dean, Faculty of Arts graced the sessions. Dr.A.Nithlavarnan, Head, Department of Education served as a convenor of 1st IRCE-2024.

The provincial Director of Education of North Province and the Secretary of, the Ministry of Education of North Province participated as special invitees. As the first research conference in education on the eve of the Golden Jubilee, it attracted much attention from the local academia and media. “Empowering Tomorrow: Educational Trends and Insights in Northern Sri Lanka” was the theme of the conference which was amiably spread into the research tracks. It aimed to provide a platform for researchers, educators, and practitioners to share their latest research findings, exchange ideas, and foster collaborations in the field of education.
