A Bachelor’s degree in Regional Planning from a recognized University / Institution
OR
An Honours or General degree in any discipline with prior learning / working experience for minimum of one year related to Regional Planning
OR
Postgraduate Diploma (SLQF 8) from recognized University/Institution or an equivalent qualification acceptable to the Faculty Board of the Faculty of Graduate Studies and the Senate of the University of Jaffna
AND
Professional qualification in Regional Planning from a recognized professional body with acceptable to the Faculty Board of the Faculty of Graduate Studies and the Senate of University of Jaffna with minimum of one year prior learning / work experience in Public Administration

Applications Procedure:
Application forms could be obtained in person from the Faculty of Graduate Studies, on
submission of the deposited bank slip for Rs.1000/- to the Account number (reference
number) 190042740002706 at the People’s Bank.
Those who wish to send the downloaded application form which is obtained from the website
should attach the receipt of the payment to the University Account number (reference number)
190042740002706 at the People’s Bank.
Duly completed applications should be sent to the Senior Assistant Registrar, Faculty of
Graduate Studies, University of Jaffna, Thirunelvely by registered post or by hand on or before
the closing date of application. This programme applied for should be indicated as
“Application for Master of Regional Planning – 2024” on the top left hand corner of the
envelop.
* Incomplete, Illegible or late applications will not be considered.

Please pay at any branch of the People’s Bank using the usual deposit slip.
Fill your personal information in the slip and use reference number in place of account number.
Take and keep a photocopy of the slip with you before providing it to the university.
