Programme Overview

The Faculty of Graduate Studies invites applications for the Master of Education (MEd) 2025/26 self-financing programme from eligible candidates with teaching experience in a school or any recognized educational institution, or with relevant experience in educational work related to this postgraduate programme.

Admission Requirements

Any Bachelor’s Degree and Postgraduate Diploma in Education from a recognized University / Institute
OR
Bachelor of Education (BEd) Degree from a recognized University / Institute

Course Fee Rs. 205,000/-
(Rs. 5,000 Library Fee – Refundable)

Medium English / Tamil

Duration One Year

Selection Written Examination
& Interview

The written examination will evaluate General Aptitude in Education.

Application Procedure

Application forms can be obtained in person from the Faculty of Graduate Studies upon submission of the bank deposit slip for Rs. 1,000/-.
Downloaded application forms must be submitted with the payment receipt.
Duly completed applications should be sent by registered post or submitted by hand to the Senior Assistant Registrar, Faculty of Graduate Studies, University of Jaffna, Thirunelvely.
The envelope should clearly state “Application for Master of Education – 2025” on the top left-hand corner.

Incomplete, illegible, or late applications will not be considered.

Guidance for Payment

Pay at any branch of People’s Bank using the usual deposit slip.
