\nThe First International Research Conference in Education – 2024 ( IRCE – 2024) jointly\nhosted by the Faculty of Graduate Studies and the Department of Education, Faculty of Arts,\nUniversity of Jaffna was held on April 20th and 21st of April 2024. The conference was chaired\nby Vice Chancellor of the University Prof. Sivakolunthu Srisatkunarajah and as co-chairs,\nProf.S.Kannathasan the Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Prof.S.Raguram, Dean,\nFaculty of Arts graced the sessions. Dr.A.Nithlavarnan, Head, Department of Education served\nas a convenor of 1st IRCE-2024. \n

\nThe provincial Director of Education of North Province and the\nSecretary of, the Ministry of Education of North Province participated as special invitees.\nAs the first research conference in education on the eve of the Golden Jubilee, it attracted\nmuch attention from the local academia and media. \u201cEmpowering Tomorrow: Educational\nTrends and Insights in Northern Sri Lanka\u201d was the theme of the conference which was amiably\nspread into the research tracks. It aimed to provide a platform for researchers, educators, and\npractitioners to share their latest research findings, exchange ideas, and foster collaborations in\nthe field of education.\n <\/p>\n \n <\/section>\n\n\n\n
